One of the biggest debate.... I got both my g and my 02 6spd maxima from socal and drove it for 3 plus hours straight to fresno and then 2 hours to here in elk grove.... I haven't had nary a problem with my vq motors yet. My maxima, now in my brother's care, sitll purs like new with 80k plus miles... My G was kept below 4500 rpm (or at least i tried to 98% of the time) for fist 1200 miles... did oil change and upped the rev light to 5500 rpm for the next 2500 miles....Mine doesn't consume oil excessively...

I conclude that there really is no explaination for this anomally since I haven't read enough 6mt sedan owners complain of such oil consumption problems...

Reread my post. It's not the transmission that I think is the cause; it's the way some G35 drivers drive their manual transmission cars.
