In my opinion re-badging is perfectly acceptable when the only differences between the two models are options (Home-link mirror, navigation) in our case.

Japanese cars are quite common down there so an Infiniti badge may be a pretty cool mix.

 

putting skyline badges on your car is like putting a shift boot on your automatic gear selector.

 

there are some pretty proud infiniti owners here,everyone has different taste and how they want things to look.just make ur car fast and clean.then you can put any emblems you want on it.

 

I did the badge swap.

I say if youre going to do it, go all the way.

I changed my airbag cove, wheel caps, door sills, engine cover, painted the clock so its just all black changed the front grill emblem and put skyline 350gt on the back and switched out the floor mat.

 

So you have a RHD firewall section on the way from Japan too....?

I hope you realize the assembly line in Tochigi looked like this LHD RHD LHD LHD RHD LHD RHD RHD.

If its made in the same plant with the same parts, its the same fvcking car. Rebading is not making someone that its not. Go look at your VID badge. Try and find out if your car is a G35 or 350GT.

Maybe I feel differently because I have a 6MT. As much as people would deny it, the transmission DOES make this car.

 

100% i also have 07 6mt coupe 4 wheel steering 12k miles its all modded out 20 vsxx burning blk ,bb kit ap racing,slammed down hks hyper max III ,stillen true dual ehaust,berks etc. its mostly about that 6mt........that what makes that car...

 

I think its kinda cheesy. my buddy replaced his Acura badges with Honda badges on his Integra and I always thought it was kinda lame...but to each his own

Not to be funny but I think my 03 6mt is ABSOLUTELY a nissan. Inifiniti is a luxury brand and if you drive a 03 G35 coupe you know that MUTHAFUGGA drives like a sports car....a 4 seat 350Z. I believe the the 02-03 model "Skyline" (because the car came out a year earlier in Japan) is classified as the V35. Thats is the infiniti g35 here. And if you really want to get technical OUR cars are rebadged. Some people are just putting back the correct badges. Look people, rebadging is a preference pure and simple. For one glorious year we have the honor of being owners of geniune Skylines. If you notice, the new "Skyline" is called the GTR....and theres your difference. Now can we get back to eye-humping each others cars?? Geez....
