IM having the exact same problem, it just started a few days ago, but i can tell it is progressively getting worse very fast. Someone said to get the cluth/flywheel combo from Z1motorsports. Does anyone know if one setup is better than another? clutchmasters? I saw a few other brands too, whats the best setup to go with? thanks

I have the Z1Street Clutch and Fly wheel combo. I like it, there is slight rattle but it is only when you are idling with the A/C on or you when I take off from a dead stop and don't give it enough gas. As you know this is because of the fly wheel is so much lighter than stock. I have noticed that the rattle has gone down by about 50% since I had it put on. It has been around 4000 miles.

Hey guys so i bought the clutch from Z1 motorsports, and took it to pepboys to get installed at 8am this morning, they just called me 7.5 hours later, and informed me that they dont think i have the right clutch! im assuming it has to be the right one since z1 only makes parts for the g35/350z, but the boxes all say 350z so they might be thinking its the wrong one...was i wrong to tell them that its the right part but modified and aftermarket so wont look like it fits like the stock one??? also, they told me that my clutch dont even look like its gone, although it is pretty close... they said the real problem is my shift fork is bent...i dont even know WTF that means but they said if i buy one theyll put it in...any idea where to get one and how much they run? and is there anyone in socal still open on saturday afternoon where i can get one?? anyone help would be greatly appreciated since im not too car savvy... thanks a lot for any and all help... this F'in blows.

went to pepboys, got some more info....so apparently, the fork comes into the tranny from the side and is the actual part that keeps the pressure plate on the cluth and trnasfers the power. it has a ball bearing on it with a screw at the end of the ball bearing that attaches to the tranny. so when the clutch is pressed in, the ball bearing allows the fork to move away from the flywheel, thereby allowing shifting to another gear to occur. from what i saw, the end of the ball bearings screw holding it to the tranny has broken off in the tranny. FUBAR. If anyone can tell me how to post pictures onto the thread, or lets me email them to them so they can do it, you guys can see how fuct i am. theyre going to keep my car on the lifts in the bay until i figure out what to do, my only quesiton is if anyone knows anything about this problem, or more than that, if they know anything about 6mt trannys, where can i get the parts other than the dealer, and how much would they cost? Im supposed to be at work tmw at 2p and amd completely SOL....****.

I just checked the website and it says, "Z1 Clutch and Flywheel combo
This package fits 03+ 350Zs and G35s and is capable of holding the power of all normally aspirated and most forced induction applications up to 500 ft-lb tq." I got this exact one and I am pretty sure we have the same trans in both G35 and 350Z. The original flywheels may be a little different, yet interchangable, if not the same.

got my car witha salvage title, it was in a back end collision with damage to the passenger side...24k with 17k miles in mid 06, it had already been completely fixed to like new, but the guy i got it from sold it cheap cuz he was leaving the country ASAP...so no warranty whatsoever. So Ive figured out what the prob is, and today pepboys got in touch with infiniti to order me a new tranny cover plate and the shift fork... the latest update is that my new problem is that the shift fork is on backorder THROUGHOUT THE COUNTRY! are they F'in kidding me!!!! WTF am i supposed to do?? the dealer told them that once the order is placed, it could take a few days, weeks or even MONTHS to track one down! I have no idea what to do and am carless and am supposed to be moving up to SF on sunday for a new job. does anyone know or have any idea where i might find one, or if anyone makes these aftermarket? i am seriuosly SOL right now
