How to correctly drive an MT.
Sometimes when I'm coasting in neutral in anticipation of a stop light, but then traffic gets going again and I have to get back into gear, it's very notchy to shift particularly into 2nd and 3rd. The higher gears seem fine. I'm not giving it any gas when I shift, I just clutch in and shift into the appropriate gear from neutral.
Is this normal or am I doing something wrong?

A question of my own, my clutch seems really stiff and is ever "touchy" but when i drove my friends Z which is only 1 year newer then my G, i noticed his clutch is very smooth. could this just mean someone may have changed the clutch since i am the 2 owner or is this just they way the G's are?
So it's normal to feel notchy when I put it into gear in that situation? I know sometimes the car jerks, because I tend to err on the side of shifting too low than too high, but I'm talking about putting the actual shifter into the gate. There is more reluctance for the shifter to pop in, as opposed to when I'm rowing up the gears it feels like a click-click type movement.

) went to an internal slave cylinder at some point, but it wasn't that early.
So, this may be OT, but I need some advice on how bad this is.
I was at a party this weekend and I let one of my friends take my car to pick up his girl (bad move). Well, on his way back the ***** decided to use my car to show off. He was at a stop sign, redlined it (probably) and dumped the clutch in front of everyone. The car just lurched forward and he said afterwards the clutch felt spongy (no ****!). It seems to drive ok now, but I was wondering if it's possible that this douche did any damage other than destroying my clutch?

^Could have heat-damaged the flywheel, that's about it though.
If the clutch isn't acting right, it gives you an excuse to buy a nice aftermarket clutch and flywheel. And now you know not to let people drive your car unless you really trust them.

Thanks for the input guys! I hope it just f-ed up my clutch and flywheel and not my drivetrain or anything.
Well, I did trust this guy, so the lesson here is to be more careful of who I do trust.
