I will most likely always stick with the Honda/Toyota/Nissan Family!

you can expect even more problems with either of those. my father currently has a 2005 E500 and 2006 SL500 and they are always in the shop for some sort of electical problem. since I have had my 05 coupe, I can't count the number of times I have had to pick him up at the dealer. oh, and the reason I pick him up...dealer gives him a Jetta as a loaner! here is a man who only buys Mercs and has spent hundreds of thousands of dollars at this dealership (Valley Motors in Hunt Valley, MD)...don't buy there! Merc actually sent him a nice leather jacket for all of his woes with the dealership and his current and past cars. of course they thanked him for being a loyal customer. that does not make up for all the lost time.

the only issue I have had between my two G's has been the rattle in the center of the dash near the clock. the dealer I go to just can't seem to get this one right. I will try another dealer. last time they tried to blame it on me having a stiffer suspension even though the rattle has been there since I have had the car, but this is a minor issue. it has nothing to do with the performance of the car

Infiniti managed to get away with ONLY these problems on a first-generation, high hp car. I expect their future cars to only go upwards in quality. The only thing that would keep me from getting another G is if Infiniti somehow manages to get the weight of the car +4000 lbs. They really need to shed some weight off the car, which will equal better gas mileage and performance, rather than just putting bigger and bigger engines in it.

BTW, Toyota isn't what it used to be.
