I bought an '03 G35 Sedan about a month ago. I have been extremely impressed so far. About a week ago, though, the radio and A/C controls started blinking out while I was driving. Now they will go out for the most of a 45 minute drive.
The steering wheel controls still work for the radio there's just no display. The A/C continues to work on the last set temp settings, I just can't change them.
I am very new to these cars and don't really know where to start looking for this problem. Any ideas?

Your circuit board is overheating causing all of the buttons to go out. The dealer will fix it under warranty. I had the same problem.

its a commen problem with 03-04 G's... if you dont have warranty... might wanna buy aftermarket because thats about how much the dealer will charge you to replace radio/ac
Can you buy a circuit board aftermarket and replace it yourself? I never have been a big fan of going to a dealer for repairs and I don't have warranty left.
I would like to leave it stock for now so if I could just fix it that would be nice.
Come to think of it, it is worse on days that there is direct sun-light on the dash. It works almost all the time when it's cloudy.

Im pretty sure you can order the part from Infiniti and replace it yourself. I had the exact same problem with the direct sunlight.Originally Posted by Padawan

Okay, I've been doing some reading on this and it does seem that it is a board behind the finish panel. I am attaching a pic to see if I can confirm with someone that I am on the right trail. I think it should be number 1 in the diagram.
Anyone who has replaced this: How hard is it to get to and is this part available from any place other than dealer?
I can't believe Infiniti hasn't recalled this as many problems as it has caused.

im pretty sure the dealer is the only place... and i doubt it will come in that one piece... you will need to buy all of it as one...
look on eBay for used radios but then you cant be sure about those because they could be selling them for the same reason

I had exact same problem, got after market DD kit with touch screen nav and climate controls for 1k less than dealer replacement with OEM.... go the DD conversion, you will not regret it.

I believe they said 2400 including labor, it was 2 years ago though so I'm not sure.Originally Posted by fbw5595
What did the dealer quote you for an OEM?
