Looking at buyinig a GT350

Hi People,

I'm from Australia and i'm looking at buying the GT350..

I own a supra atm and am looking to upgrade to something with a bit more luxury..

It seems like this is the best option for me..

I'm just a bit confused tho.. I hear that its called an Infinity then G350 and G35.. Are they all the same car just named different depending on what country your in?

Ive been trying to find some tech specs on the car (in 1 page format) as i'm tossing up between a Mazda rx8 and the 350GT.. Does anyone know where i can find some?? I had a quick look on the forums but nothing stood out.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Any reasons why i should pick the 350GT will be much appreciated as well.. I'm getting it imported from over seas.

Um... it's called Infiniti and you have a whole forum to look for your answers.

Yeah, it's an Infiniti G35 in the US and it's a Skyline 350GT everywhere else (Japan, AUS, UK).

Cheers,

USDM = Infiniti G35
Euro = Infiniti G37
JDM = Nissan Skyline 350GT
Aussie = ? (Nissan Skyline 350GT?)

The RX-8 is a torqueless wonder. Smooth, but gotta rev for power. Also, the rotary has it's share of problems... as long as you can live with bad MPG and have someone to service it, the RX-8 will outhandle a 350GT.

The 350GT will be far more luxurious, and have MUCH more torque for daily driving. It will ultimately be faster around most tracks, except for the most te chnical.

That's kind of funny. I was actually deciding between the g35 and rx-8 as well. Mike is definitely right in that the rx-8 is just superb at handling, but lacks torque. What it came down to me was that the g35 is much more fun to me as a daily driver. Its got some power, torque, still handles well, and yet is still luxurious. I actually just bought my g35 3 days ago and I absolutely love it. I am a big fan of the rotary, but I'm completely satisfied with the g35. Great car, and I still giggle like a little schoolgirl from all the looks I get on the road.

Check this guy in Aus - he has a 350GT too. I agree with the others on the choice - Go Nissan

Check out the chaps over in the UK. They have their Nissan Skyline 350 GT's imported there and their group of enthusiasts are growing.
They talk about actual JDM Nissan 350GT rather than our USDM Infiniti G35's.
