AT check light after aggressive driving and transmission locks
#16
just wanted to give an update on what I've stated above.
I took my car to the racetrack this past weekend. It was kind of a driving school, so it wasn't until the final heat of 20 minutes where we were allowed to just drive all out. On this heat, I decided to drive my car in D and not use manual shifting. It let me concentrate on driving the best line I could and not worry about what gear I was in. The trans performed very very well. Absolutely no issues, errors, slipping, or funny noises.
The course varied from 40-50 mph sweepers and hairpins to 115mph straightaway. If this isn't beating on the trans, I don't know what is. So, in short, to the OP, you DEFINITELY have a problem and must get it checked out ASAP.

At check light went off but car still accelerate slow
Here's what the service manual says about "Fail-Safe" mode (slightly different to the user manual):
Fail-Safe ACS005X0
The TCM has an electrical fail-safe mode. This mode makes it possible to operate even if there is a an error in
a main electronic control input/output signal circuit.
In fail-safe mode, even if the selector lever is “D” or “M” mode, the transmission is fixed in 2nd, 4th or 5th
(depending on the breakdown position), so the customer should feel “slipping” or “poor acceleration”. When
fail-safe mode is triggered, when the ignition switch is switched “ON”, the A/T CHECK indicator lamp flashes
for about 8 seconds. (Refer to AT-99, "TCM SELF-DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE (NO TOOLS)" ).
Even when the electronic circuits are normal, under special conditions (for example, when slamming on the
brake with the wheels spinning drastically and stopping the tire rotation), the transmission can go into fail-safe
mode. If this happens, switch “OFF” the ignition switch for 10 seconds, then switch it “ON” again to return to
the normal shift pattern. Also, the A/T CHECK indicator lamp flashes for about 8 seconds once, then is
cleared. Therefore, the customer's

[BHi having some trouble with my 2004 g35 sedan. Yesterday I was on the high way and a going about 80. The car in front of me had a fire blow out I braked hard and swerved a bit to avoid the debri. When I started to proceed on my way 5th AT check light came on and the gear position display went Blank. I turned the car of them turned it back on everything went normal. Now the car is accelerating at a slow pace but AT check light is not on and last night when I tried to reverse it almost didn't but then the tires slip and three me back rapidly. Today it started driving normal but after a while it started to accelerate slow again. Any ideas on what to do.[/B]

Hey guys, I have an 07 g35 coupe, my car runs good when I start it but after driving for like 10-15 mins it starts choking in a way. When I step on the gas it takes forever to accelerate, it’s like a lag. And if I keep driving the “at check” light comes on. I also have the “service engine soon” light on. By any chance do one of you know what could be wrong ?

Would the pooling of oil in the spark plugs cause the “at check” light come on too ?
