Best MPG comes from driving the exact speed of the semi truck you're drafting... warning, side effects may include rocks through windshield and flaking paint around rock chips in bumper.

ok start the car
turn off the engine "leave it in accessory"
now put the car in neutral
call a tow truck
beat that!....well not the price!

i have a 6MT 2005 coupe. going 77 MPH on cruise control i get 32 MPG

For a motor with a well defined torque peak you will theoretically get the max. mpg if you sit on the torque peak. The torque peak = the max. cylinder filling efficency. This means you need the least amount of throttle to maintane that speed.

not always true.... got hit with a rock on the windshield this morning following a minivan on the offramp...

i drove from vegas to Estes park colorado. I had the cruise control set at 82 mph.
I got 27 mpg. I checked the milage every time I filled up.
