lowered cars and the dealership+shops, help!

I am curious to those of you with very low cars with body kits and such. If you had to take it to the dealership or a mechanic shop for work, etc. Will it be able to get your car on the lift?

I am worried that I might need to take my car to the dealership/shop to get my engine checked out, and since i am dropped pretty low and have a full body kit all around. I am afraid that my car may get damaged trying to make it onto those car lifts or whatever else they need to drive over.

I am kinda scared. It's already hard for me to trust mechanics these days, let alone of leaving my car unattended and lastly it is dropped.

What do you guys do?

The only way to get my car on a lift is to roll it up on some 2x4's or similar. When I had my alignment done last week they couldn't even get it on the alignment machine without using some wood boards.

if they have an alignment rack, they will have a drive-on lift. they are level with the floor and will have jacks built into it if they need to take the wheels off.

3 shops couldnt get mine on an alignment machine and one shop cracked my paint on my bumper.

+1 on wood blocks. IIRC they had a hydraulic jack that was meant for lowered cars. i remember reading about it a while back.

I took my car to herb chambers Infiniti, and they refused to put my car on the lift. I took it to Kelly infiniti and they took their time with the car, used wood, and took care of the car... Guess where I go to get my work done EVERYTIME.

we have a drive-on lift that is perfectly level with the ground. this means that if you can drive it around town with bumps and driveways and whatever else you are driving on, you can be sure to get on our lift.

this is setup is not an ideal way to work on a vehicle, but you can get by.
