i just ordered mine because i was getting a weird musky smell... coming out of the vents, but after looking at this i am terrified to change it...

Oh man...I'm planning on changing mine out and now I'm nervous at what I might find. I have to park in a lot, and my friend's Jetta wagon had some mice in it...

maybe that explains the "squeek squeek" you heard and thought it was something loose, when you turned on your heater one time...

On this subject,I believe I will change mine out.
What side do yall put the air freshener,also kinda thought about cologne on the microfilter. Opinions?

cologne dries out too fast. go with the air freshener.
