trying to say a G35 is better than a Gen coupe, is like saying an E36 M3 is better than a G35. better pedigree, yes and more ground breaking at it's release BUT then is then and now is now. is it(Gen) the best, no. still would rather have a 370z(or HR 350z for that matter), G37(coupe or sedan) or even a new Mustang GT BUT vs a G35... sorry, Gen coupe(v6 or 2.0T) wins(not price dependent). for the money(vs top notch Gen), i'd get a used Cayman S over anything in it's price range.

If someone offered you a 40,000 mi G35 plus $15,000 or a new Gen coupe which would you take?

I'd go with the G, and have a lot of fun spending the $15,000 in mods

if someone offered me an S14 240SX w/50k mi plus $10k, i'd take that over a G35. the possibilities are endless, "a cool car + mod ca$h". that's why i said, "not price dependent"

Its been mentioned because the G35 cant compete with it. Classic technique of diverting attention to elsewhere.

I don't see muscles or any kind of coherent design, I see a glorified Tiburon that's been widened and lowered.

Lets be clear on one thing. Do you or do you not see the creases on the sides? I just want to know if you can see them, thats all. From the tone of your remark, I sense a bit of bias (and understandably so). Some like the G better, others like the Genesis better.

Its like this:

The G is a more mature beauty, kind of like Catherina Zeta Jones.
The Genesis is a younger beauty kind of like Eva Longoria.
They are both beautiful to look at but different in each of their ways.
Personally, I would choose Eva.

Yes, I see creases. That doesn't mean I think it's more "muscular".

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. You can think it looks young, but I see some fairly obvious flaws in it's design that I mentioned in my previous post. There's nothing special about the Genesis Coupe IMO, whereas the Gen 1 G35 is still a very sharp, good looking car.

lol, saying a car looks muscular has never (until now) meant that it resembled the human muscle...

So your saying the Genesis is ugly because it deviates from the ho-hum design philosophy of straight lines.

I hope your a car designer by trade. Because I'm certainly not. I call it like I see it.

I never said anything like that, and I never said it was ugly. Sorry I don't agree with you, but please don't put words in my mouth or try to interpret what I said as something different. I think it's a good looking car but it has some design flaws, and I think the Gen 1 G35 is better looking. You said I was biased, but it seems you've got a lot more invested in this discussion than I do.

I've said my piece. I hope you enjoy your Hyundai, but I'm sticking with my Infiniti.

EDIT: Looks like the poll-takers agree
