we have one at our shop and quite frankly the car is very well put together, the power plant is impressive, and the styling is OK but I would never choose it over a G35. That's just my .02

Plus, you're comparing these cars by looks. If you've driven one, you will quickly realize why the G is still better and always will be. As seen here, everyone is comparing infiniti's 2003 model with hyundai's newest car.

So lets compare the G37 and the hundee G. OH no comparison!

 

Nobody has provided a "solution" because there isn't a problem, it's 100% personal opinion. Your analogy is flawed because you're comparing a subjective thing (G35 appearance vs. Genesis appearance) to 2 other subjective things (the attractiveness of 2 women). Everyone's opinion can't be divided into 2 camps like that. I don't happen to think either woman you mentioned is all that attractive, so it completely fails for me.

I also happen to think the Gen 1 G35 is just about the best looking car on the road, and that the Genesis is good looking, but still has too much Tiburon showing through along with the other flaws I mentioned. It looks "like" a G37, but not as good, and nowhere near a good as a G35. But it's just my opinion, and I don't expect anyone else to see it the way I do, nor would I hold it against someone if they thought differently. I say this because you seem to take it as a personal affront that someone doesn't like the Genesis as much as you do. We have to somehow "prove" that our opinion is valid when, in fact, everyone's opinion is valid.

Yuk, when you put them completely stock side by side hands down the G. That green is pretty hideous and definitely doesn't help either. But the Genesis would definitely be an awesome coupe to mod if it was black!!!

 

Give the Genesis 6 years and I am sure it will be where the G is now. Until then, not a single Genesis has hit 100k miles and is yet to be put through the test of time. So lets see where it goes and if it fails or not.

Btw, the interior on the Genesis looks terrible.... other than the gauges which look identical to the Gs.

 

+1 you can't have a reputation for building cheap crap cars and turn it around with one new model. Nissan has a rep based one quality cars.

 

Genesis looks wack when bone stock. G looks damn good bone stock.

The Genesis coupe is not a big Tiburon. The drive train is completely different: Tiburon is a small FWD car, the Genesis is a big RWD car.

In fact, there is a Tiburon replacement in the works. Hyundai will have 2 coupes in its line up.

No comparison between the G37 and the Gen coupe? There were 2 official comparisons done by the media (popular mechanics and edmunds). Both instances, the Genesis had the upper hand. Remember, not everyone is rolling in gold.
