Hey guys here is the situation. I got my car brand new back in July of 2006. Its an 06 coupe 6mt.

Problems so far...
Oil Consumption - I checked the levels and oil was almost all the way at bottom of stick.

Clutch pedal not coming back all the way after shifting or only coming back a quarter of the way, when car is really hot after driving a while and its hot outside.

also Door molding keeps coming off when I open driver door, very iritating.

My question to you guys will Infiniti cover these things under warranty the car has 22,000 miles but is 37 months from purchase.

also car is scheduled to go in on monday to check these items. Just don't want to be blindsided by dealer not wanting to do warranty work.

as long as your under warranty it should be fine,

but judging by your sig you have a lot of mods, so I'm pretty sure their going to give you a hard time.

Yup, take off whatever drivetrain/engine related mods you can before bringing it in. They will try and say they caused the excessive oil consumption issues.

omg, with all those mods, ur going to get nowhere. haha, take off all the mods that have to do with engine if you even want a CHANCE for them to warranty you. (personal experience)

any of you ever hear of "Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act"?
http://www.dummies.com/how-to/conten...ty-intact.html

Carlos is this you???
as for your oc your going to have to go thru there bs testing to prove it as for your clutch video it and show it to them because I went thru the same problem and they won't beLIEve you.

Yes, dealer has to prove that the mods caused the failure.

However, in the case of engine performance mods...they could make a sound case. We all know it's a defect in the rings, but showing up with mods gives them ammo to fight you that your high performance mods caused the issue. Plenty of guys in the OC threads have stated this exact reason for dealers denying them new engine. In that case, you'll need to get a laywer.

Does anyone know if anyone has had the rings replaced to combat the problem, if so did it work??? I have an 03 an I have approx 120k miles and I go thru at least 1 qt every 1000 miles or so. I am thinking about have the engine rebuilt with NISMO pistons and rings, but I don't want to shell out all that cash if I am still gonna have the same oil issues....

It would be better just to get an engine from people I see them sell for like 1.5-2k. If your going to get a rebuild it's gonna cost you alot of money unless your do it yourself and have all that time to rebuild it.
