Heater Core Help Please I need it.
I looked all over other forums including this one and found nothing so i need some help.
PLAY x PLAY for 2005 G35 Coupe Auto 36K Miles
1.Bought the car Aug 2I
2.Drove the car Around no problems -- A/C Works Fine And No over Heating.
3. 2 weeks ago decide to use the heat in the car and notice that it blows cold air whiles idling. Heat works great whiles driving.
4. Did research and found out the most common problem can be air in the system.
5. One week ago i performed a coolant flush, removed the air release and did everything properly. Still the same problem.
6. Infiniti Dealership did a Coolant flush Yesterday. Still the same problem.
7. I am beginning to think that the heater core is clogged. I also hear a water noise every time i start up and drive.
Has any ever changed the heater core or performed a back flush on the heat core?
I need advice. Thanks.

YOU DO NOT HAVE TO BLEED LINES OR DO FLUSHES!!!
This is the problem with the car, the radiator during cold times stays low and improperly pulls from the reserve. Let your car sit over night and then open the radiator and then fill up the radiator directly to the brim. DON'T FILL THE RESERVE. What happens is when you fill the radiator, then turn the engine on it creates suction that pushes the airpocket into the reserve and out of the lines. You may have to try it again the next morning inorder to make sure the radiator is full to the brim. But after that, you will never have a problem again!!!! I'm going 2 weeks str8 with not even a hint of cold air at idle, damn near cooking my *** at a red light lol
Good Luck to all!!!!

you still have air in the system. do this for the generic method. find a funnel that will fit snug in the hole where the rad cap goes. mark where it fits nice and snug and cut the lower portion off so the tip isn't going deep inside the radiator. shove it down there and fill the funnel half way with coolant. let the car run until it is at operating temp so you know the t-stat is opened up. once it's warm, rev the car multiple times to 4k rpm or so....you will notice air bubbles will be circulating and come out from there. i had to do this to a G after i did a coolant service to it with my vacuum style coolant filler kit.
if you believe your heater core is clogged perhaps, backflush it. take the heater hoses loose and run a hose through the opposite flow direction for a few minutes to see if you flush anything out.

I called the dealer and asked for the diagram of how to remove it. I recommend you to go to a specialist in the type of job. I did it my self and it toom 4 days almost 5 to finish everything. It's a very hard job.

The air mixing door is electrically operated and computer controlled if you have the dual control system. The dealer has to place it on the Consult II monitor to do a diagnostic run. Make sure when refilling coolant, you open the bleed valve on top of the heater hose and keep filling the radiator until coolant comes out of the relief valve.
