Who cares what they look like, they're great little track machines! They only run a few grand for a decent one, and if you wreck it at the track at some point, you just pick up another one. Part of racing is having access to a lot of parts and mods for your car, and the Miata is probably the best car in that regard. Trackable brake rotors for a G or an Elise- $400 for a decent pair, trackable rotors for a Miata - $40. I'm actually thinking of getting one for wheel-to-wheel racing. I don't care if it's pink with Hello Kitty stickers on it, as long as it's fast.

another nice british machine except with a motor from ford as oppose to the elise with a motor from toyota,
