just get a fumoto drain valve. Install it and forget it. Never have to worry about stripped threads or crush washers again.

Crush washers are truly a rip off, I wouldn't use 10 in my life time. I put 125K miles on my last Z and changed the crush washer ONCE only because I didn't know any better. How many times do you think I've changed the washer on my '04 G35, that's right NEVER! I've never had a drip from either car so changing the washer is a waste of time and effort. I'd rather spent that time polishing my intake....

I agree. I've prob done a dozen oil changes on my G35 so far...i have yet to actually see a leak and change it.
Same for the differentials. ALL the DIY's said to replace the washers...i didn't, and no leaks.
I think they are good for more thana few oil changes. It's when they become damaged and distorted that they should be replaced...but no idea how you'd do that unless you are putting the plug on with an impact gun...which i've seen quick oil change places do (friends who worked there told stories)

well i change them every time since i dont have to pay for them. and yes, it depends on how tight you tighten them. if they start spreading or getting oblong looking, then they will leak. its not just impacts, if you use extended wrenches or long handle ratchet wrenches you pull tighter with the extra leverage, in turn, overtightening the bolt.
