who drives with the vdc off daily and did you have any problems by doing so?
wow. interesting thread to say the least. I suppose its irrelevant at this point, but ill throw in my .02. The only time I have driven with the VDC on (intentionally) was when I bought my car. In the middle of winter. with bald summer tires. during rush hour. Other than that, I turn it off immediately upon starting the car. In my defense This is the first of many rwd cars i have owned that actually had some sort of traction control, let alone ABS... so I guess I am just accustomed to not having it.
On top of that, the times I do forget to turn it off, it never fails that I need to "get on it a bit" getting onto the freeway and the VDC violently cuts power when I shift. Fairly shocking when you're not expecting it anyway.
But If you ever drive your car in the winter the VDC does wonderful things. I was really surprised how well it can keep the car in check during some of the worst scenarios that Minnesota winters have to offer.

If you don't know what it is, might just wanna keep it that way.
Had it in my Z06, called it God Mode, cause it saved my a$$ several times.
Didn't have it in my 911, 930, 1970 Z28, 1971 RS/SS and thank goodness, they wouldn't have been near as much fun.

Yeahh it definitely lets you an the car become "one".. I had just gotten it. Im talking stepping out of a 2003 ES Lancer Mildly modded in to a totally different class of car lol.. I drive with it off all the time too. But when its wet or damp.. I recommend leaving it on.
