My '04 G35 Coupe 6MT is up to 72,000 miles now. The only major thing that happened so far was the radiator fan motors died. Nissan reimbursed the cost to replace them. The only other issues are the front compression rod rubber bushings cracked and I replaced them with SPL alloy bushings. Also, the upper A/F sensors on the headers went bad and I had those replaced. Clutch went bad and replaced the clutch with a Jim Wolf heavy duty clutch. The rest is normal wear and tear items such as tires. Plus, the car has quite a few mods.
OP, all cars have issues. Some more than others, but personally the good far outweighs the bad. Knock on wood, but I haven't had any real problems yet. Then again I'm only at 54k miles. But I love my car, and after lowering it today I love it even more!

I loved my G35. Only reason to sell it was to upgrade. I loved it so much, that I plan to get another one later on as a daily driver.
Most of the small things on the G35 aren't enough to make you worry. The only thing to really worry about is oil consumption. All of my friends with G35's haven't had this problem, so I guess it's bad luck, which happens to any car.

I'm one of those folks that bought my G third hand: two previous owners, high miles, unknown past except for pretty regular service records. Salesman said the prior owner was a woman. I'm skeptical, I only know two women who prefer to drive a MT: my wife and her sister.
Anyway, I've never bought a car with this many miles on it and it may end up being a bad idea. But, I just got it to drive to work and back so my daughter could drive my F150 (she thinks she's a redneck).
I have driven trucks all my life, never owned a car as my personal driver. And up until this F150 I've enjoyed driving my previous trucks. They were fun to drive, offroad and on. This F150 has been an excellent vehicle (and the only AT I've ever owned) and has done all the things I've needed it to but I never realized how dull it was to drive. Literally took the joy out of driving. Driving became a chore. Now, with the G, I look forward to driving almost anywhere. On the weekend I think of reasons to take it for a drive.
Just hope it lasts. I'd like to make it to 150k.

Every vehicle has it's quirks. I give my G35 three stars considering what I paid for it new. Nissan/Infiniti failed on the revup VQ powerplant oil blow-by wise. Re-manned warranty replacement is only a slight improvement and requires a lot of spoon feeding not to go completely South as well. Other than that...fun to drive and still love how it looks.
I've been really happy with my coupe. Yeah it's had little issues here and there but nothing major. Honestly I can't think of a car (under $90-$100K) that I would want to trade it for. The car has a pretty timeless design to it...IMO

I'd trade it in for an Aston Martin Vantage. It's pretty timeless as well. There's a local one for sale here with 9k miles for 72k.

The one above does have a Premier 4509 kit.... but still. Aston Martin is just awesome.
