G35driver Vendors Quality control...

So there was dispute that a vendors For sale thread wasn't the right place to make a complaint about how the specific vendor conducted their business of selling the item in that thread. So now lets Discuss it here.

First off lets Keep this civilized. This is not a thread for simply bashing vendors. My personal goal for this thread is to get some sort of of quality control to keep vendors from taking advantage of members.

The needs to be some sort of penalty put in place by moderators to vendors when the deliberately lie to a customer in an attempt to deceive them.

This is where my recent transaction comes in. I preordered a rear bumper form one of the vendors on this forum in mid July. and I was told that it would be made in 6-7 weeks. However, it was delayed. and for the most part the vendor did a good job of keeping me and the others updated. Granted it did take nearly 20 weeks for it to be completed, that is not where my Quarrel lies.

My Problem that is that on November 22nd I was contacted by the vendor in a PM that reads as follows:
sorry for the ALL the delays! i truly feel bad. We were only able to get 1 bumper ready for shipment since the shop is having issues w/ the mixture.

What is the address you wish for it to ship to? I will also need a contact number. The 1 bumper will be going out today and it will be your bumper!

please feel free to txt my personal line (privacy). I"m sorta sick but your package will be going out today.
then on the 23rd I received a tracking number for greyhound express.

On the 27th i contacted the vendor becasue the online tracking said it was still waiting for courier pickup which was supposed to occur on the 23rd. The vendor assured me that it had shipped and that there was simply no "live"tracking updates.

I believed the vendor but honestly I don't know why. on the 30th, which was the estimated delivery date it still hadn't updated so I called the shipping company. they told me that the item had never been received, and that the vendor had only made an order to ship it.

I contacted the vendor and he assured me that he did ship it and that he would call to figure out what was going on. he then told me he was waiting for a supervisor to call him back.

I called the shipping company and they had a supervisor there and I spoke with them. Also they transfered me to the store the order was shipped out of. I was told that this individual "Frequently makes orders for shipment, but often doesn't bring the item to be shipped." and that was what he did on this occasion.

Needless to say I was furious. I contacted the vendor and told him i wanted a refund. When I did, he tried to play it off that it wasn't his fault.
First he said it was a billing mistake, then he changed the story to say that it was the fault of the person who dropped it off. Bottom line he was lying and trying to weasel his way out of it.

When I did post this, several other members posted up similar horror stories with the same vendor. Clearly there is a pattern here and in this instance I don't think it should be tolerated on the forum. The only difference between this vendor and someone scamming someone int he private forums is that this is a vendor and they do it on a larger scale.

So now I reach out to you members and moderators to put an end to vendors taking advantage of us like this.

I think that supplying those things are a good start but there still should be a penalty for vendors who don't comply and/or deliberately take advantage in an attempt to deceive members.

I can vouch for Dustin, he flew down to meet us. How many owners come out to see the crew that bought so much from him?
