"VDC Off" and "Slip" dash lights intermittently come on...

I've noticed my "VDC Off" and "Slip" lights go on intermittently. They both go on together and are sometimes accompanied by the "Brake" light. The "Brake" light stays on for about 15-20 seconds then goes off. The lights don't come on under any particular circumstances. I have noticed them coming on when I accelerate a little more heavily than normal. Once they're on they stay on until I restart the car to drive again.

I do live in Wisconsin where the weather gets quite cold. But even when the roads are bone dry the lights come on.

Any ideas what's going on?

Check you transmission fluid level, and check to see if the color is a bright red and or dark red and if dark red its time to flush the transmission fluid. The lights both come on when the car notices a wheel slipping and if the transmission has a spike in temperature or if you have a tire with very low air pressure. If its temp related it only goes off after you cut the car off and restart it, and the temp has went back to normal, or you could check your rear vdc sensors that are located on the rear axels near the differential one on each side to see if there is any damage or loose.
