what gas brand do you use?
Hopefully not on the same basis as Fram filters! lol Some of us might remember the Shell "Platformate" commercials from years ago. Shell with Platformate performed with better mileage than the cars without it. Of course, the commercial didn't bother to mention that ALL gasolines contain platformate!

Don't know if i posted this in this thread already butttt.
I have a built 2.3 stroker Evo with a gt30r turbo tuned on 91 octane.
It was tuned on 76 Station gasoline.
I switched to shell one day, and the car began to sputter and idle roughly, and it even completely died on me while moving ~25MPH. (lost steering, etc while moving) Dangerous would be an understatement, had that happened going 60+ on the freeway, i would have crashed.
Over the next few days, the car continued to sputter and idle rough while it was running. Dying a few times (sometimes 10 seconds after I started) as well. I had no idea at the time what was causing it, so I didn't immediately switch back to 76.
As soon as I switched back to 76 gas, the car returned to normal. No more dying, rough idling, or other crap.
Never going back to Shell. For beater cars, I don't care. But for anything taking 91 octane, I'll stick with 76.
Speaking with other Evo owners, most of them go with 76 or Chevron. And most of them have said that "shell is ****".

Anybody who had problems with their car dying after filling up at a different station probably just ran into a bad batch that was contaminated with water or something.
