Hmm pretty good idea Erklep, i'm looking at the grinder right now but they all look pretty big for me to be able to use while uder the car. My car is pretty low, so even when jacked up, there isnt much space to get under :/

Could you give me an idea on which you would get? Thanks!

jacked up you should have no problem getting under there with an angle grinder. ive got a nice makita that i use in my garage but i keep my cheapo HF one next to it in case the makitas brushes ever wear out when im in the middle of a job. this is the one i have and i can tell you, for the 22 bucks, it gets the job done!

I bought my car with mine bent, too. It's not as bad as yours but I don't recommend removing it. Try to source a junkyard donor. It's there for a reason. manufacturers don't like adding things for the hell of it, it reduces profit.

Only way i can get it off is if i take it to a shop and they cut it off or something. Such a hassle..
You need to get a mallet and pound it back so u can unbolt it. You should definetly buy another one of these from a crashed car. Look at all the previous scuffs on the car, almost everytime ive had the bottem drag on something it has been that plate. It is exactly where the length of the g35 contacts the ground when going over things. Nisan put that there for a reason, it protects ur floor pan! would u rather dent the floor of ur car LOL

So an update, i went to a shop and they took it out for me. After watching what they had to do to bend the metal out of the way to unscrew it, there was NO way i would have been able to do that without a lift and tools lol.

And i honestly dont plan on replacing it.. i drive kinda low and with it on, it just hits evvverything.

That you were bored enough to even comment and bump it again makes you....

Or instead of searching, I could have just started a new thread. I can just envision your creative "go search" reply to that.

Not everyone bought their G35 in 2003... get over it dude
