^+1, the only problem is downshifting.. If you do it too early it will be jerky so be prepared, or downshift late.

If ur in 5th and switch over. It will go into 4th. If you are in 1-2-3-4, it's stays in that gear.

When I want to use some power. I switch over and downshift in one shot. So from 5th to 3rd right away.

Mine is 03 and it the does the same thing. I was driving my friends 06 G Sedan and his downshifts all the way to one when you stop.

Is there a way to make it downshift on its own for the 03 G?

It's kinda weird using this 'sport mode' because you can't even go to neutral like a real MT.

I have an automatic G35 but only use the manumatic. If you blip the throttle on a downshift (the same way you would in a manual car), it won't be jerky. it takes a little time, but now I can brake, downshift, and "rev match" all in one motion when coming to a light.

It's basically the heel-toe motion, but in an automatic car. This is what would happen on a downshift: the left side of your right foot on the very right side of the brake, roll to the right on the ball of your foot, and use the right side of your right foot to blip the throttle. It's all in one motion.

03-04 trannies handle manumatic differently than 05-06 (and 07 coupes).

My 04 downshifts all the way to 1st when I come to a stop in manumatic mode, I thought they all did that.....maybe I'm misunderstanding.
