Only Road & Track has speculated on the AMG powered G37 IPL Infiniti. After doing searches haven't found it anywhere else. I personnaly hope Mercedes doesn't share an AMG engine with Infinity.

Why are people still obsessed with a 10 year old engine? lol

If you still want to roll in a 3.5 VQ, buy a Maxima.

VQ37VHR burning oil too.....

Read TSB here: http://www.infinitig37.com/TSB/1SY30.pdf

But, but, it only happens on the 6mt Rev-Up, Nissan Altima, Maxima, Murabo, Pathfinder, etc etc..

Confirming what I said before, oil consumption is only a problem on the HR/Rev-up's. You still haven't backed up any of your other VQ-bashing claims. But then again, you never have, so I'm not surprised.

Tell us again why it is that you still own this car that you so obviously detest?

Jabbers I hope you know how much of an ignorant moron you are.

Arguably Nissan's talent is engine revision. The 95 and 01 maxima had very different VQ30s. The second revision developed 40 more horsepower.

Don't even get me started on the VQ35.

If you had enough mental capacity to understand the specifics of an internal combustion engine, you'd realize the Nissan engine revision process.

You probably think the VQ35 that was in your poorly maintained G35 was exactly the same plus two snails as the VR38. Go research deck design.

Come back more intelligent before you start trolling again. Your half empty gouges are enough to make my eyes bleed.

03-04 VQ35DE 280hp
05-07 VQ35DE Rev-Up 298hp
06-08 VQ35DE HR 315hp
08-Present VQ37VHR 335hp

+1 to this.. a g56 IPL could be reasonably priced, and would be bad ***
plus it would fall in line with nissans propensity to share engines between models to lower costs

One big issue with a V8 is weight distribution. The G35/37 are both around 53/47 F/R, but putting that engine in it is going to shift it at least a couple of points. That's one of the complaints about the M56, it doesn't handle as well as the M37. A G56 suddenly becomes no better than a new Camaro/Mustang/Charger, i.e. fast in a straight line but can't take the twisties. It's the handling that made the G series a challenger to the BMW 3 series, not the power.

I'd like to see a smaller V8 maybe, one that improves the power without sacrificing the handling. A 4.0L to 4.4L or thereabouts. Should be able to get 375+ HP out of that. BMW got 414 out of a 4.0L in the new M3. And this new Coupe better cost under $50K. An M3 starts in around $55K, and no offense to Infiniti, but they don't have anything that can compete with an M3.
