The most gas Ive ever pumped into my G

was running on empty, i know its not good but anyhow, i know our take is 70 liters, but i was able to pump 73.31400 litres (19.36 gallons). could have maybe gotten to 74 had i not hit the 100$ pump limit. how big is the tank really? anyone ever pump more than that?

I'm scared to get my gas that low, I assume it would pull up whatever gunk and debris had accumulated in the bottom of the tank and inject it into the motor. That just doesn't sound good.

That is crazy! wondering if there is a way to find out how much our cars can really handle. I seen someone fill up 19.966. You think there might be a little more then 20?

If I recall my last service report from Infiniti, it mentioned a 20.1 gallon tank. So i'm not sure if they try and squeeze in the fuel lines or what, but its a bit over 20 gallons.

That is crazy. I thought 70 liters was maxed. You win.

We don't really have a typical filter, it's more of a screen in the gas tank the gas passes through. Regardless, why take a chance getting something you don't want in your motor when all you need to do to prevent it is never let your tank run almost bone dry? Seems like a good idea in my mind.

Good point. Probably is a 70 liter tank with 5 liters or so of fuel lines !?

Well, figure the fuel line is has .25 cm radius, it has to run from the tank to under the motor, then up to the injection system, so maybe five meters. That's 98 cm^3, 98 mL, ...which would fit pretty precisely to the extra .1 liters.

Has no one ever parted out a tank and would be able to test this once and for all!? If I put 74 liters in and had 2 liters to go, I could've waited lol (kidding)

Btw, does fuel level go up when car is parked uphill or downhill?
