Since it was in the mid to upper 80s here in beautiful SoCal today I took SLICKS wheels off washing the inside barrels and polishing the outsides. Washed the wheel wells and cleaned the rotors/calipers along with the connecting suspension. Reinstalled the wheels and dressed the tires and let her sit for half the day before driving her.

You guys sure do act like a bag of dicks sometimes.

I appreciate the creativity and stepping out side the box. I must say though that personally I would have rounded the corners. I would hurt myself walking thru the driveway around the car.

Looks basically well executed other wise.

I disagree....

There's this recent invention called "rivets" I heard about... Might be a better application than nuts and bolts.

I agree there, but if he is just trying it on for size and doesn't have a Clekco gun to temporarily place the rivets then the nuts and bolts can be swapped out if he decides to make it permanent. Duh.

Man you guys have no vision.... maybe I see things differently.

I could care less about the high horse reverence of a brand and what other people think something "should" be. This car is nothing but a Nissan anyway, and the prices have come down to the point that you will begin to see some experimentation and custom work on a cool little sports coupe that the average Joe can now afford to tinker with and personalize. So you don't like it, good then keep YOUR car stock and reap the hopeful benefits of resale later. I think the idea was cool and it is a decent first iteration. Other than the sharp corners, I see the idea he was going for. Would be a bit more involved to execute in CF but the sheet metal is a start.

Geez don't look at the Tokyo Auto Salon pics from this year if this bothers you... those splitters are every where and on everything, including the front bumper and sides of the cars. .. not that it makes it right. .but it gets you talking about it, so I guess that is done it's job either way.

Come to think of it, reminds me of the Exige I used to work on for a friend. I basically re-engineered the BWR supercharger kit for him over the course of a year. The rear diffuser was CF and removing it before working on the car, changing the oil. .etc used to add another hour to the labor every time. At least the G is FR drive.

Pretty sure he said all opinions welcome. In fact, he's taking this better than you are. It looks out of place, that's that. No ones being excessively mean (except saywat, but he's a troll).

I get where you are coming from, but I've worked on a design team building aero for a track car project. Sheet metal does about as much as tin foil in terms of actual work to keep the car going anywhere fast.

But, this is for looks, and I'll say op did a nice job with the metal work (would appreciate something more "stable" in the center portion . Round the ends for sure. Get some ideas from the Mastergrade(?) rear diffuser. What did you do to the G today?-photo407.jpg

Well, with all I've been though these past years always taken care of everybody else. I figured it was time I do something really nice for me (God willing).
