Isn't vinyl a little more durable than leather in the first place?

You can feel a couple sharp points, I think its were the plastic stops.. It gets rubbed on when you get in and out of the car.. Mine is already starting to discolor where its rubbing so Im probably gonna have to get it fixed again.. I stuffed a piece of a microfiber in mine for now.. ****in Infiniti!!
