The bumper support is a non-issue. It will be modified to suit my needs, I just ran out of time this weekend.
I will be reconnecting it with some heavy gauge metal..welded if I can get it done since it's aluminum, or steel and grade 8 hardware if I can't get the aluminum TiG'd locally. I work 3rd shift thru the week so it will have to remain as is for the rest of this week. I think it will be just fine.
The Borla muffler is a 2.5 in dual 2.25 out, being used in its proper configuration. I think I will be swapping out the turbo tube straight thru resonator for another Borla or similar stainless steel packing resonator for a smoother sound. It's kind of rowdy and raucous right now, especially with the quick rev of a lightweight flywheel, and the longtube stainless headers, but sounds nothing like a 4 cylinder, thank God.
I did look at several ways to mount it before deciding on this outside the box method. It made the most sense, is routed properly, hangs perfectly and stands apart from the rest of the G35 crowd, giving a mundane everyday car an almost generically exotic look. You don't appreciate the design? Well it's a good thing that you aren't needing to suffer thru it on your very own overpriced nissan then.
I've been doing this type of thing successfully for over 20yrs, and most importantly I'm having fun exercising my creative streak on this platform...I'm actually enjoying sparring with all the trolls here too...
Historically as a former builder/fabricator/dyno tuner/one stop shop owner, usually my exhausts create more torque increase than hp, I can't wait to get to the dyno with this car.
Also digging the 20mm front spacers btw.
Sitting right on 350z Bilstein / Eibach pro-kit combo. Perfect combo of ride and handling. No more sunken front wheels.
Thanks for the input, in whatever form. Just wait til you see the rest of what I have planned...muhahaha
Random question, will 19x8.5 wheels with 245/35/19 tires in front and 19x9.5 wheels with 275/35/19 tires in back rub with rolled fenders and G/Z Suspension? I have 06 g35 sedan rwd.

Changed the oil, pulled 15mm front spacers and installed 20mm. Finished the grille trim to my exhaust work. Completely re-designed the exhaust system last weekend and touched it up today.
Excellent rip and deep idle tone with very little drone. Still have 2500 rpm rasp, but I really think that it is coming from the longtube headers now.
I was pleased to see that my catch can re-design is working better also.
Working on tag placement.
Dual ovals, or dual round would look pretty sweet here. Kinda reminds me of the Golf R. In for sound clip though.
Cool points for creativity. Though I'm concerned your tag will never look right.
Definitely will need side splitters to complete the look, but that front is so nice. Also digging that blank grille. I'm going to attempt to fab a front and side splitters this summer over break, so it's nice to see something different on a 35.

I'm having the shop install impul poly sides so imma see how the car looks then look for a set of side splitters
Buuut.. if this reminds you of your *****, then your problem is obvious, and I do feel bad for you son.
I wanted an exotic look and sound with this exhaust. I achieved it for the most part. I may go back in and swap out the turbo tube resonator for another borla tube muffler to smooth the tone a bit more.
It does remind me of my *****. If I tell you i have a boner 24/7 I'd be lying.
As for the exotic look you're looking for, I had the same dilemma last year. I ended up rerouting my motordyne exhaust to the center of my charge speed bumper and had the original holes filled.
Had it done at the end of the season, not sure if I love it or hate it. Something tells me it looks stupid but my inner ricer loves it.
Also this is the interwebbZz. If you're gonna get butt hurt over every comment towards the horrible modding you're doing. You need a life more than you need new exhaust ideas.
Car looks clean man. Not sure I NV it, but I can definitely appreciate it.
I do like the lipped trunk. Been thinking of removing my spoiler.
modding= to make different, modify. Who is to judge but the owner? If I don't like it, I change it. I'm different from a lot of owners here apparently, I don't pay for work to be done...it's all in house my own two hands. That's how I did business for over 10 years, now I just do it for myself and select friends.
I just started a thread over in Coupe land..follow there for the full back story on this car. Let's not clutter this one.
Edit..just saw the vids.. very nice sound. Unfortunately turbo and NA exhaust tone is a world of difference. You have those two tiny fans chopping up the exhaust noise into little soft bits.
