Anyone know where R1 Autoworks is located? I know theyre in Santa Fe Springs, CA but I cant find an exact address anywhere. Are they even a shop? Or just a warehouse? Can I go there and talk to someone if I want to order some parts or have any questions? They really made it difficult to get in touch with them.

Interesting about this R1 place.... Their Facebook page is a guy's personal page (Stephan Ortiz) and for a phone contact, it says "text only". Sounds like it's his personal mobile phone so if you call, they're not gonna answer "thanks for calling R1 Autoworks, how can I direct your call?" ! Did you try texting or emailing them ? I saw some references to him being in TX too, not CA. Are we talking about the same guy/company ? Primarily offers body parts, it seems.

There are threads/posts here with "R1" and apparently he's banned from this site.... My initial guess was he's just a guy working from home or out of his own garage and the parts he sells are just drop-shipped from various suppliers and that does appear to be the case from one post I read from "R1". He doesn't say it but he refers to "the warehouse", procedures he has to follow with them, and even mentions a replacement for a damaged part that was shipped without his knowledge. Sorry, unless they're a HUGE company, he'd be informed when a replacement is shipped in order to satisfy a customer.

Yeah thats the guy I think...his name is Stephan. Seems like he is from TX but has a place for business down here in Cali as well....not sure if its a shop or a warehouse. Pickup location says Santa Fe Springs, CA but doesnt give an exact address. He has his phone number on his website page and it also says just to text. I remember sending him a text a few months ago and I never got a reply. I sent him another one yesterday and I havent gotten a reply either.

Lets see what happens....

There may be a warehouse in CA but he's not likely to be there if you were looking to talk to him. It's pretty clear that he buys the parts from suppliers who ship them to his customers.

I dont have a facebook so thats out. Whats his Gmail? I'll give that a try as a last resort before I move on to another vendor.

Also, I was thinking bout going fiberglass for the front bumper...but I think Im just gonna spend a lil more and go with the poly due to its durability. Whadda ya think?

G35 sedan w/ too much money in mods
I advocate poly for front end mods because fiberglass is just too brittle and breaks easily. Side skirts and rear end mods though I'm ok with the glass, they just don't take the abuse the front end does.

I know Stephen personally, he's a casual friend of mine from back in the day. As a person he's a great guy but as a businessman it seems like he's bitten off more than he can chew and has for a while. I haz teh sadnezz..........

I finally pulled her out of the garage after 2 months of sitting...due to me breaking the key for my Nismo Lugs nuts.
