It's just metal, easily welded back together.

Speaking of rust and fiberglass.... the slow progress continues. Bondo is pretty annoying to work with so I made this mold to get the arch right. After sanding off all the excess it looks pretty good, just one more can and it'll be ready for primer and plastidip until I can get some proper paintwork done.

Replaced the factory-installed serpentine belt - it lasted 116k miles so far. Didn't break, was just on my list of things to do maintenance-wise. Replaced it with a Gates belt and I've got the OEM belt along with a 3/8" drive ratchet in the trunk "just in case".

I will say, if anyone with an '07-08 does this, I'd suggest removing the engine splash shield on the underside and work on it from the top and bottom. Actually, the FSM says to do this too but I've seen some videos and those folks did it all from above. That's impressive if they did ! Well, one video the guy skips showing the actual routing process.... None of them mention removing the shield though (older models use a bolt-adjusting tensioner and those do require access from below for sure).

Wait, newer ones don't use the manually adjusted tensioner???!!! Can the other adjuster be used on the earlier style?

'08 models use an automatic belt tensioner and I presume the '07 is the same.

Can the what be what ?
