Infiniti G35 coupe
Unhappy G35 coupe

I drive a 2005 G35 coupe and everytime I take the keys out of the car it turns off with no problem but the windows go down by themselves, I’ve tried disconnecting the key fob and keeping it away from the car and nothing works. I need to disconnect the battery to make sure the windows don’t roll down once I leave the car. I’ve changed the window switch and still nothing works. PLEASE HELP

Sounds like window motor failure, you can try resetting the window motor, sometimes it works for a few thousand more miles before complete failure.

EDIT: google up g35 coupe window motor recalibration, it's easy to remove the screws on the outer door panel, leave the inner panel installed there is a little access hole with a round black sticker on it to get to the motor reset switch.

The window motor was also changed about 5 months ago as well, the window started to work again and didn’t give me problems by going down on its own for about 2-3 weeks then it started again. So it would be that I have to switch it out again after resetting it?

Sounds like the recalibration wasn't performed properly.

My windows roll themselves down randomly while I'm driving due to a broken wire somewhere in the door harness. I haven't had the inclination to tear the thing apart again so until then I put a switch in the power line to the driver side window box, and just cut power to the windows when I want them to stay put.

If you don't feel like messing with this and your windows work fine otherwise, this could solve your problem until you get it fixed - just remember to turn off the windows every time you leave your car lol.

I had this happen on an old Maxima we owned. I narrowed it down to the key lock getting wet inside, since you can insert your key in the door lock, turn, and the windows will roll down. The G35 has this same feature.

I unplugged the window switch and avoided high pressure car washes for a few months, seemed to clear itself up.

That's new. Your window motors are resetting I guess each time it turns off?

I had the exact same problem on my 2006 coupe but it would also cause the windows to automatically roll down if I used the auto-up feature. Recalibrated the driver motor and it still works, had to replace the passenger side one when it began to malfunction.

Ohhh and I washed my car today, FINALLY, it really needed it. Also applied another coat of Pinnacle Glasscoat which seems to last for about 4 months each time.

Got the oil changed yesterday and also hand washed and I clayed and waxed it. I need to clean out the Garage so I can work inside again... felt rushed finishing all of this before dark! Car looks so nice when all cleaned up.

Anyone have a pic of their 19" wheels with a 40 tire on it?

Dude at the wheel shop says to go with 40's, but I think the 35 gives it a more sportier look.

04 6mt Coupe - motordyne 5/16 ART pipes TDX2; KWv2; Hotchkiss; custom seats.
The other day I hit a low-to-high spot coming into my driveway wrong and damaged a v-clamp on my exhaust.
Ordered a replacement from motordyne.
Ordered some vinyl wrap samples because I helped a friend wrap her bimmer successfully and I think I'm going to cash in that payback if I can decide on a color.

It appears that for a brief moment, Florida *might* actually be participating in Autumn before returning to regularly scheduled humid-hot soup effect. And it happens to be a weekend that I am not working and I have access to a garage, joy of joys!
So I probably will spend a day working on the rear end: diff bushing (finally), rear wheel bearings, and replacing/rotating v-clamp, then probably get silly and do an engine bay or some other sprucing, you know...just love on my car and weather a little.

40 is the stock tire sizes, just look up any picture of a G35 sport with the OEM Rays wheels.
