So today, the flange on my Y-pipe caught a gate track as I was exiting a parking lot. The car got stuck.... wouldnt go forward or back lol. After getting out and lookin under the car to see what was goin on, I just did a few back n forths with my wheels turned and it finally broke free. Drove the car over to my cousin’s shop and noticed left side of my muffler came off its hanger and was hanging low and sticking out further than the other side. So we got the hanger back in but the left tip is still sticking out slightly more than the right side. Also, my y-pipe is bent to śhit by the flex joint...that might be causing my uneven exhaust. Hoping a new y-pipe will fix my issue. We will find out soon.
Might just do cat deletes while Im at it...still debating.
Just pick up my first set of good wheels, they are work xc8 , 19x9 +25 front 225/45/19 , 19x10 +20 rear with 245/40/19
I am keeping the z stock tho for daily purpose
Things gonna be fun now, its time to make it happen haha
Well looks like my gas gauge is acting up. My car ran outta fuel right when I got into the parking lot at work.
My fuel gauge does this weird thing. When I fill up gas over half a tank it is pretty accurate. When my fuel level reaches a 1/4 tank, my indicator will slowly climb back up to near the 1/2 mark. After about 20 miles of driving it will correct itself and drop back down to 1/4 tank and indicate accurately as the fuel gets lower all the way to empty.
But yesterday my fuel was gettin low so I put in 10 bucks worth of gas jus to make it to work. I think this threw off the indicator pattern my car usually does. This time my fuel light came on and the car died after about 30 more miles of driving, but my indicator wasnt even all the way down at empty.
Damn Nissan!! Why cant u be as reliable as Toyota?!?!?
More like what I had done to the G yesterday... had my local mechanic install a MD 5/16” iso thermal plenum spacer as well as a stillen intake & OEM Z-tube. Also had him clean throttle body, reset ECU, and he replaced a $30 belt that he said needed to be changed. In total = $380 in labor. Got intake stuff used and didn’t really want to hassle with the process and it was nice picking up my car yesterday after work. Didn’t really notice difference in sound driving home last night, but definitely better pedal response. Turns out I didn’t gas it enough (probably cuz of 5:00 bay area traffic), because this morning I punched it at a couple stoplights to hit over 5k RPM and WOW! Much throatier sound.. I felt like my car always sounded good up until 3k RPMs but now it sounds even better at 4-5k. So I can definitely say this mod was worth it! Might have to spend more on gas now though lol

Booked some lift time and am going to tackle my upper oil pan/main seals and install the new clutch kit stuff.
If time allows, I'm thinking of doing motor mounts since I will have the k member out. The way my luck charts, the timeline has the stock mounts starting to fail shortly after I put in this work and I just want to . Currently thinking z1 poly-hybrid mounts, but welcome suggestions.
Replaced thermostat, upper and lower radiator hose. Put in a z1 bleeder valve and a new heater hose. Oem bleed valve was probably days away from bursting. Ready for a hot florida summer

Tbh I don't enjoy my new trans mount. I went with a poly one because of an eBay deal on the poly mount, and it's just too loud for my mostly stock car. When I get some more time I'm going back to stock.
I know your car is getting more race spec by this point, but I would recommend not doing it unless you are ready for 3500-5000 rpm VIBES.
Kinda screwed up since my car came out of the body shop I work at last September and could've told them to patch screw holes & NOT drill into the beautiful sport bumper but sometimes you gotta learn the hard way. I still plan on doing some custom body work later in the future (paint headlights black, black rear diffuser, roof wrap black, re-fix fender and maybe CF hood but idk yet). The tow hook cover paint should wear after a few months of driving hopefully the match will look better
It’s been a good while since I’ve done anything to the G, so I decided on modding some tail lights. Neat fact, Easy Off oven cleaner dissolves chrome on plastic leaving the finish under it unscathed
Had been sitting a while, took it to a car wash and did some hard back road driving to clean rotors and bed pads. Discovered coolant spray under the hood. Not sure if failed radiator cap or small crack. Oof.
