Should I Seafoam My G?
Should I Seafoam My G?
So im thinking about seafoaming my coupe this weekend. The only thing is, I just did an oil change last weekend so I dont really want to do another. Can I just do 50% brake booster line and 50% gas tank so that it wont run through my oil?
from what Ive researched it should go like this:
1. pour 50% into gas tank, run it.
2. 50% into brake booster vaccuum line, run it.
3. Go for a "spirited" drive.
This sound right?
thanks!

actually.. I believe that if you put it in the gas tank, it'll probably clean out your cylinder and fuel injection areas. Which means some deposits will be picked up by the oil and hence your oil will get dirty..
not that it'll kill anything.. but just saying.. i would just do it maybe a tank or two before an oil change..
same goes for brake booster method.. not everything gets burned in the combustion chamber.. that's one of the reasons your oils get dirty...

A lot of members here on DRIVER think Seafoam is GOD'S answer to a clean running engine....I'm not one of them! I use Red Line fuel injector cleaner a couple times a year and add the whole bottle when I'm sitting on 1/2 tank so it's really concentrated. That's just one of my answers to keeping SLICK running well....Gary
I actually just dud my G this weekend along with my girlfriends car and for only have 35k on it, it smoked like a spaceship takin off. Right away though i feel a difference, Not that it ran bad before but i can feel its a little more responsive, and on my girlfriends car it worked a miracle, more power, throttle response, mpg, everything. Do it. Ive never put it in my oil and i doubt it will because theres just somethin about dumpin liquid thats not oil into my engine.
So, for those of us that don't know what this is, what is it? It sounds like a good idea whatever it is.
