It's not necessarily that you pissed anyone off, it's more of a general consensus of seeing a teenager get handed a nice vehicle as a first car. Granted, yes, G's are coming down in price as they age. And that scares me, because GDriver is probably about to be flooded by ricers and morons in the next two or three years, much like the 5th Generation section of Maxima.org was when I owned my Maxima.

But it's also moreso because 99% of teenagers who are given things like that these days...

A) Don't respect or aren't thankful for what they're given
B) Have a douchebag mentality about owning a car like this
C) Rice the hell out of/generally destroy the car

If you can get past all that and prove that you're actually thankful for the car you've been given, and/or modify it tastefully, you'll earn the respect of your fellow board members pretty quickly. The problem is, most teenagers you see coming on these forums come in with a holier than thou attitude, and start calling everyone douchebags and *******s the first time someone says they don't like the AutoZone hoodscoop the kid put on his car.

And that's my rant for this morning. I need a cup of coffee...

Wish I could say that. Mine's approaching 232k. Y'all with 100k are blessed.

232k is awesome and commendable. At this point I would even doubt if the value of resale has even entered your mind and would think that you do love your car. My question is have you ever thought of stripping down the motor and rebuilding her?
