it's official - i LOVE my art pipes
so today i finally got around to installing my art pipes i've had laying around the garage for the past month or so. i've had the megan v2 pipes on my car awhile now and they've been leaking and not sounding like i want. they were too loud for my taste.
this afternoon i went to my friends work place (he's a diesel mechanic with sooooo many tools) and took off the megan pipes. unsure of how the art pipes were going to sound, i went ahead and began putting them on. after everything was put back on i washed off and started to leave. when i started the car a huge smile appeared across my face. i couldn't believe how great my car sounded. it's perfect. exactly what i wanted.
after running an errand with my wife i got in the car and decided to reset the ecu to see if the cel would trip. i took the drive home (approx 10-15 miles i guess) and so far the cel hasn't come on. hopefully it'll stay off.
anyway, i would definitely recommend the art pipes to anyone that wants a nice sounding exhaust that isn't too loud.

i've got the 5/16" plenum spacer, stillen intake, tb spacer, z tube, z midpipe, HR Y pipe, and i think that's it. been thinking about getting the borla exhaust for my 05 sedan. just really want alittle more power & nice exhaust note that isn't too loud. may try out some light weight pulleys, do alittle port work to the intake manifold, and change the rear diff. eventually wanna get a tune to max out the power of the mods.
yea, i guess i didn't really think about the ses before installing them. haven't really gotten a chance to feel the increase in power yet. i never really get on it unless i'm getting on the interstate or any car wants to play.
i didn't really take the ses into consideration before the install. i just figured i'd get it cleared whenever i end up getting a tune. i may have to check into the motordyne sedan exhausts as well. if they all sound this good it's a no brainer.

sounds awesome! def gonna save up for the art pipes and the art exhaust system! sure they are cheaper out there but for me quality matters a alot! dont want to make the same mistake that i did when i first got my old 3.5 altima. i was so eager to mod that i did "inexpensive mods" which at the end i ended up taking off for quality ones anyway..
congrats on the purchase
