Hey guys I'm new to the form but had a question for everyone. Have you experienced hate from other people because of your car? I hate when some idiot in his muscle car pulls up and revs his engine and talks crap about imports or someone calls you a "ricer" It is so unnecessary and pointless, personally I love all types of cars but I love my tuner imports more so. Post your stories of hate from other people, just curious.
btw i drive a 2005 G35 sedan, bone stock except for a plenum spacer and z tube

I got called a ricer for a stock sedan, so much hate. Yea I was at a light on the way to get gas and some idiot in his new v6 Camaro started revving it. I think a lot of the crap comes from the fact that I'm a younger guy (I'm 16)

 

Should have laughed at him for having a V6 in a Camero.

Just the other night I had some dick-wad with a teeny weenie in a mustang trying to egg me on in traffic. yea, rush hour traffic. after about 5 miles of hearing his constant god-awful straight piped 4.6, I dropped down to 2nd (we were going ~45) and honked my horn. I quickly put it back into 6th and as expected, he floored it for about 3 seconds and had to slam the brakes to avoid hitting the car in front of him.

I did this 3 times before he finally took the hint and raced off into traffic to undoubtably find someting else to try and race.

Maybe someday he'll sell the mustang and buy a *****...

 

I get smirks from domestic owners all the time in my car. Lots of ford truck drivers also. I have tinted windows now and just ignore them when they pull up next to me to try to look in. Lots of hate from BMW owners also. They always like to cut me off when I'm on the right lane doing the speed limit.

Two nights ago I had a teenage girl in her late 90's or early 2000 hyundai accent hatchback try to race me. Her boyfriend was in the passenger seat wearing a backward fitted cap with the typical douche bag look. He had the seat leaned way back. They looked into the car and started laughing so I looked at her car and laughed back at them. She then guns it at the light thinking I was racing her. I was in my sister's g35 coupe with 19" oem wheels that night because my sedan had a dead battery. Her accent against a g35.

 

I had an older 5.0 go at me the same way a little while ago in Victoria- guy was driving like a complete @sshat through traffic. Same look- wife beater on, backwards hat. Real winner-

Guy wants to take a poke at me or the car- he's going to have his work cut out for him no matter how ricey he thinks my car is.

 

I owned several muscle cars, '73 302 Vega Wagon, '70 440 Coronet, '68 396 Nova, '70 Pro Street Dart to name a few.

My perspective of imports for long time were not built/tuned correctly. Many imports run around with mismatched fitting body kits, obnoxiuos exhaust systems and poorly installed aftermarket performance parts. It takes alot of time/money to build a tuner car correctly.

FI was the solution, Vortech SC was the first performance part on my G installed in Dec'04.

I too get tired of the diesel Trucks and other RICERS trying to race who severely underestimate my G. My insurance premiums are low and don't need any tickets.
