Angry Blew my engine.. How to get my car running again?

its a 2007 G35 Coupe Rev-UP.

should I look at junk yards for my motor and buy it under warranty and get someone to install it? if I buy a motor with low mileage, does that mean it will have good reliability? or because it will be rebuilt it will be less reliable? i heard its an easy install, you just drop it in right? of course I will go to a shop that specializes in Z/G's, how much should I expect to pay for labor?

can i use any G35 motor from other years? Will it fix the oil consumption issue my old engine had?

thanks

You need another revup engine, does not matter from what year as long as its revup and had same transmission that you have (AT, MT)
Getting one from the junk yard is your best option. Low millage one should cost you around 1200-1500+
The lower the millage higher the price.
If you buy a motor with low millage it means it'll be as reliable as any other VQ motor, they are not rebuilt from junk yards, just yanked out from other G/Z cars
It's not difficult to install, but you need to know what you doing.
You should expect to pay allot of money for the install of the engine, I'd assume at least $1000-1500
It will not fix your oil consumption issues as other VQ engines are also susceptible to that issue.

ah kk thanks. so if i get an engine thats not 'rebuilt' does that mean my car wont have a 'rebuilt' title after I add the engine in?

and i got a friend who can get me a 44K miles motor and can put it in for me, it obviously wont be under warranty. While the engine is out, anything I should get replaced? was thinking clutch/flywheel since my car is currently on the first clutch at 166,000 KMS. Replace the gasket to prevent any oil leaking, anything else?

Rebuilt title has nothing to do with the motor.

no oil light.. however the check engine light was on because I removed my cats but afaik CEL has nothing to do with oil levels.. I put a quart of oil couple weeks ago.. went on a cruise and started making rattling noises, had 0 oil

I blew my G35 engine last year. I spent about a month looking for one but didn't trust the salvage yards. My buddy had good experience with his Honda Civic engine he bought from the JDM importer http://www.bestjapaneseengines.com/e...ti/infinitig35

I bought a rebuilt VQ35 long block for my G35 from them. It's been running without any problem since then.
