Slip light and power cut?

I recently have noticed an issue occurring mostly when I’m in cruise control taking a turn or when I am driving super aggressively. What happens is the slip light turns on and I get 3-4 bursts of cuts in power almost like a governor is slowing me down, then it just goes away. Asked a friend and they said it could be the 2 cam pos sensors and the crank sensor. Came here for extra insight before I spend $200 on sensors in case it’s not the actual issue or if there are other potential fixes I should start with first. Anyone ever have this issue or know what it could be? I have a 2003 g35 coupe 6mt with 89k miles. Thanks for any response

How hard are you taking these corners? If I try to blast around a corner with my foot in it (or with cruise control's "foot" in it) the same exact thing happens, it's the traction control cutting power to the rear so you don't spin the tires and oversteer. That's normal and you can turn it (mostly) off with the VDC off button near your left knee.

What wheels/tires are you running front and back?

It's not the cam/crank sensors, stop listening to that friend. You got some miles before you should start thinking about replacing those, mine lasted till 130k before I replaced preemptively.

When I have cruise control on it’s to keep myself from being dumb so I’m only going speed limit (45mph) and the corners aren’t super sharp however they are long.

My wheels are stock and my rear tires are brand new

When I take turns without cruise control on at the same speed, there’s no issue. Maybe that’s because I’m not keeping throttle down/ let off opposed to cruise control consistently keeping power going?
Thanks for the insight because I really don’t have the money to spending on sensors that expensive especially considering based on what you said they have a lot of life left in them.

What size tires on the rear? Did this only start happening after the new tires?
I'm asking because if there's more or less than a certain % diameter difference compared to the stock sizes that will cause VDC to mess up just like that.

The only other easily serviceable components in that system are the wheel speed sensors located on the rear diff and the front hubs, you could try testing your rear sensors if there's a procedure for that in the FSM (Google: G35 Coupe FSM) or just throwing new sensors at them.

Is your suspension in good condition and aligned properly? If you've got alignment issues the wheel speed sensors might be picking up on those and thinking it's wheelspin.

That's about all I can think of to inexpensively troubleshoot that system. On the plus side it doesn't seem like too big of a problem since it can be solved by simply turning off VDC.

^^^ Doesn't that just turn on all the lights not just the slip light?
