G35 coupe 6mt
It is up to 1k fine, I've seen people posted their ticket with $200+ fine not 1k instantly (still hurts). I have a tdx2 and art as well, it only screams past 4k and tamed on idle. I am about to do the decimal reading soon.

Are you just doing it with your on db reader?

I'm assuming I have a Stillen Gen 1 catback on my car. I can barely hear the thing so I doubt i'd pop over 95db. Almost considered going back to stock since it has more of that classic VQ sound.

Correct on how to measure the decibel. Yes, I'll be just doing my own testing, heck I am not going to ref officer just to test out my db meter lol. This law is an absolute bull to me, I am pretty sure I did not vote for the people that presented this bill, CA is just broke right now with all the gov't shutdown, LAUSD teachers on strike so they squeeze in every possible way to tax people more. My G is tuned and it wouldn't make sense to put it back to stock, I have a daily to drive around thankfully.

Godbless us Californians!!!

U guys are just worrying about nothing. Cops arent gonna give a śhit about your loud exhausts unless its super super loud and obnoxious.

^Agreed. A mild exhaust setup where someone is not trying to sound like a ricer shouldn't have any issues. I wouldn't be surprised to see them testing the DB at a random smog check though.

I was straight piped for 5 years and never had a problem with cops over the exhaust. Grant it, turbos help eliminate rasp and I have the silencers installed in the exhaust but mine is definitely louder than stock.
