Take it from me, Im awd bolt on G35x.
By power braking Xs leave the line much harder then any 5at or 6spd g35 that I've seen.
A bone stock srt8 by Powerbrakin ( They spin all 4 from dig) will leave You standing still.
Like kazaam said, srt8's with bolton and tune, run all the way down to high 11s... G35 needs twinturbo for those numbers.
My best friend gotta 5.7hemi, We tuned it with superchips. and my Bolton g35 BArely pulls away from him. we neck to neck from dig till 40-50. We both awd and power brake. I pull top of 2nd gear and leave after that.
Srt8s Do hit a wall, but thats a little after 100mph. Because its basically a very powerful brick. Nothing some heads, and few better Boltons cant fix.
sorry g35s can Maybe play with stock trailblazer SS, but srt8 got too much ***** for us...

sometimes gotta man up and take it like it is. almost 5000lbs truck will beat you. You didnt make the g35 so your manhood shouldnt be hurt.

In my original statement, I said I raced a Jeep SRT8 at a stoplight up to 90. I then stated what was done to my car.

I'm not making this up and I don't need validation from everyone who thinks they know what happened. The fact is I raced a Jeep SRT8 ONE time on the street at a stoplight. Who knows what the outcome would be of another race, I might beat him, he might beat me I don't know. I'm leaning toward the latter, because I was really surprised that I beat him the first time.

I never said my car will beat all SRT8's, nor did I say it will beat a modded SRT8. I realize they are fast vehicles, and I'm not doubting the power of the 6.1 V8.

So you can sit there and tell me all you want that I just can't do it...that my car just isn't that fast and I need to man up...
but it still won't change what happened

Actually it is a 6.1 liter hemi that puts out 420 hp and 420 ft lbs, normally runs at a 95-percent rear/5-percent front torque split, but has the ability to send all the torque to the front or rear wheels depending on conditions. 5.2 seconds to 60 mph, 13.5 seconds in the quarter-mile. On zeroto60times.com the srt8 was timed doing the 0 to 60 in 3.7 to 4.7 sec.

On http://www.zeroto60times.com/Infinit...mph-Times.html a 2007 G coupe 6MT was timed doing 0 - 60 in 5.0 seconds and quarter mile in 13.5 sec.

So when you factor in driver ignorance, the G coupe could easily smoke a Srt8, these are such close comparisons, it all really falls back on driver input. That is what is great about the G it can hang with anything as long as you know how to drive better than the other guy.

 

I hate that my 5th gear on the 5AT isn't taller.

It woiuld be nice to run less revs when highway cruising, thereby most likely getting better gas mileage.

If I want power it's going to downshift into 4th anyway, right?
