I've read like 40pages of this thread (boring 12hr night shift). I think the top complaints are:
1. Crappy factory paint.
2. Rattles
3. Seatbealts
** I don't have any of the above problems, maybe because the car is still new to me. ** I do remember what driving a new 06 felt like, although that was a while ago.
4. Lack of power / heavy weight? - Try driving a V8 car or a full size sedan and tell me thats not heavy either. If you wanted a lighter car, you could've opted for the Z. That was my other choice, but I wanted the rear seats in case I have more than 1 passenger. A little more power would be nice, but I think ~300hp is just fine. Its not a GTR, but its as close as you can get to one without paying $80K+

I don't hate anything, but therer are some things I dislike:
Rear seats do not fold down. The reclining rear seats are the coolest thing since sliced bread, but I really wish i could fold my rear seats down and put **** in my trunk.
WHat do I like about my G35??
152,000 miles on it and drives like the day I bought it with 10K miles on it!

Also, those hood struts would go out CONSTANTLY. Of course that hood was probably a good 70lbs.

Ain't that the truth. To think: we peaked so young. Haha how am I to find another car that is as practical, as stylish, as fun and as drop dead sexy all in one? Sure there are faster, there are more practical, more sexy, but when sheer balance of all those is concerned...not sure I can think of a better car.

I don't understand why people make a fuss of this. I used to have a couple Camaros (3rd gen) that came with hood struts and honestly they probably got in the way more than our hood prop. Doesn't bother me one bit.

If your car is properly maintained (or stock), then you don't go in the engine bay frequently and a hydraulic prop is very beneficial. My 03 Camry has dual hydraulic props, and I tell you its a breeze to do my oil change and check fluids. Not so much on the G.
Also, after a while, that little plastic piece that holds the prop down will fall out. Mine did. Kinda annoying.

You lucky bastard!
This is the second car I've owned that had this issue. Its very minor and really not even worth making a big deal of. But it would be nice if Infiniti had the option of hydraulic prop. I don't work on my cars a lot either, but when I do it would be nice to have that.
