What does that have to do with anything? All you see are threads about " WAHHHHH my car gets such bad gas mileage" Buy a hybrid then, or a 4 cyl. its like buying a 70s muscle car and bitching about why youre always at the pump. The lack of common sense from some people simple amazes me these days.

The 3.7 is an updated engine... of course its gonna get better MPG... but Im sure there are still people out there who like to bitch about its MPG

My point is... you people bitch too much about an awesome car. I enjoy my car everytime I get in it, look at it, or when someone asks me about it. Maybe people should take more test drives with other vehicles before purchasing one.

Um, you said the G35 gets horrid Gas Mileage because its a powerful 300whp rear wheel driving machine.
Yet the G37 seems to contradict your statement. As it gets better mpg than the G35. Yet is has a few more ponies on G35.

You people? LOL, I'm not the one complaining about the mpg. I'm just pointing out a flaw in your explanation.

The only thing I'm complaining about is the cheap paint, and the horrible reliability regarding window motors, door lock mechanism and the creaking all over the place.
Yes this car looks awesome.. This is why I bought it.

Remember, this is a thread titled, "things you hate about the car", not things that you like about it. No need to cry about something people "hate" about their G35.

I love my car, but there are a few things that annoy me

1. The radio works, but the LED backlight doesn't. So basically I can hear it, but I have no idea what channel Imm on.

2. There is a bubble in my front right tire so I try to keep it under 55. But Imm getting new wheels soon.

3. And My driver side window tint is starting to peel. No biggie

Where did I EVER say that the G35 got horrible gas mileage? Mine gets 25mpg... thats fine for me. I said its sickening seeing a new poor gas mileage thread every week. People are beating this poor gas mileage thing to death... like I said before people need to research vehicles before they buy them, then they wouldnt have to reply to threads like this becuz they find a bazillion things they dont like after purchasing.

I wasnt directing my response at you anyways

A bulge in your sidewall usually means you hit something pretty hard with the tire, not the cars fault.

These cars didnt come with factory tinted windows, so again not the cars fault.

True, but it gets one more mpg while giving you 30 extra HP. So yes, it something to mention. Heck it even weighs more.

G37
328hp
269 lb/torque
Curb weight: 3668

G35 Revup
298hp
258 lb/torque
Curb weight: 3435

G35 Non/Revup
282hp
269 lb/torque

The dipstick is a bit awkward but compared to most my other vehicles the drainplug and oil filter are easy access(once you remove the splash gaurd), so thats amazing. Owned alot of GM pieces of sh*t... why must they always manage to hide the filter against the firewall or right ontop of the exhaust where you cant get at it...?

Sick of hearing about poor gas mileage from people... what did you expect buying a RWD 300hp car...?

im not expecting to get 30mpg on this car, however a V6 280hp vehicle should not be getting under 11mpg. i for one posted trying to get people's advise, maybe someone had the same issue. i absolutely love this car except for the gas mileage. even if it got me 16-17 id be happy, but under 11 is ridiculous. before buying the G i did research it and was expecting about 18mpg and i know lots of ppl who get in the 20s. my friend's V10 mercedes gets more mpg than my G. im still not giving up on my baby.

of course a 7 speed auto is gonna get better mpg though...

all 1st gen 6MT's are rated 17/24/20 (20/27/22 on the old scale for 03-04s and 19/26/22 for rev ups). 6MT G37s are rated 17/25/20 so the same combined mpg, just one more on the highway. The 7 speed auto on the other hand is 18/26/21.

the much lighter 370z manages to match the 7 speed g37 at 18/26/21
but really they all get between 20 and 21 combined...adding power usually doesn't hurt economy

you guys should keep in mind that IS/GS/SC300s get worse mpg and have way less power
