That's fabulous. Keep putting on those aftermarket bumpers, more power to you. I think they are disgusting and ruin the cars appearance. I consider motor/suspension as modding, not sticking a spoiler on the car but that's just how I view things coming from an Evo, power, power and more power - forget about lips and cool bumpers.

You guys sure are getting butt hurt, relax I'm obviously a minority here on a topic that is completely subjective.

You might wanna look into a "history of modding" if you can call it that.

If you consider a G35 a luxury car you're delusional, it's a more mild Z. A LS/7-Series/S500 is a luxury car. And even then the classification of a Luxury car is sorta getting blurry in today's car market. G37's improve on the previous generation in every aspect including refinement, but step into any of the other cars (More expensive) and a first generation G feels rather cheap. You'd have to be pretty biased to disagree there.

I don't understand how it's a contradiction? I've owned a couple G's and never wasted my money on aftermarket bumpers, so disliking that aspect of "modding" makes my statement contradictory. Cool.

As for what you're saying try referring to the various "HOW DO I MAKE MORE HP/TORQUE" to get a real world example of what owners desires are. Look in the "What do you hate about your G" thread and a lack of power ranks way up there so your blanket statement is completely irrelevant. Unfortunately being NA these cars don't have much power potential therefore owners go with the all show no go route which is fine I suppose. I'd assume one of the major purchasing factors for owners of these cars is that they find it to be attractive, there's no other reason they'd want to build on that so extensively by modifying the exterior.

Acknowledge my posts as a single persons opinion rather than acting like I stabbed you in the heart, relax.

And yes I drive a G35 right now but take the car for what it is, it's not the holy grail of the automotive world.

i put exhaust, intake, rotors, pads, and 8000k bulbs in mine... i have all of the original parts, so when it comes time to sell it, i can return it to stock...

the reason why i put all of this on my car is because i want to tailor my car to my tastes...

also, anyone can buy a stock car, but not everyone has a car that has cool mods

yur right! Damn, its one of the only OEM parts that I sold

Cant use it with the fenders flared
----------------

BTW - to the guy that thinks moddinig is a waste - speaking of flared fenders; I don't mod to be "rice" - I change the things I don't like about the car = flat fender edges, bumper, cat-ear taillights, shiny bs window trim & door handles, ugle door molding (ding guard)... basically I made it suite my style the way I think it should have come from the factory - if they made it this way originally I wouldn't modify.

As for "all show no go"; I agree 100%... it's more important to me to take care of performance aspects, then tackle looks (if desired).

Make no mistake, I'm not "butt hurt" by your statements - and I don't perceive anyone else to be... we are stating our views, reasons and opinions the same way you are (don't get butt hurt over our reasoning )

There is seriously no point to this thread lol.

Should have been named "What did/would you do to your G and why?"
