Just curious is it possible to add a homelink system to the coupe? I guess ( mirror ). Anybody done it? My car was base with no premium package. Thanks!

Sure it's possible. You just have to purchase a mirror with the homelink and supply power to it if the harness is not already there. The transmitter is inside the mirror itself. However, once you learn the price of these things, you'll probably just end up using the separate garage remote.

unfortunately there is still a visor that hits me in the face when i try to swing it all around ...

for garage openers built after 1998 you have to have someone hold a button on the motor of the opener and also person #2 to be inside the car to program the garage button. if you need any help just PM me i'll try to help you. it's a little complicated but at the same time isn't

Here's a Tip: if you use a separate garage remote, put it on the passenger side visor so it doesn't hit you in the face!

If you want to buy the homelink mirror, Gentrex makes it.

My homelink seems to keep "unprogramming" itself. It has happened about 4 times in 2 1/2 years.

BTW, you don't need two people to do the programming. Just put a ladder next to the garage door opener, push the button, climb down, then push the homelink button that is programmed about three times. You have 30 seconds, which is a lot of time.

did you press the 1st and 3rd button and hold it down to reset it before you make a completion?

I added one to mine. It is not hard at all. There is even a guy on ebay selling the mirror and a harness for ~$150.

Your opener probably has a "rolling code" feature which means you have a 'smart or learn' button on the opener to finalize the procedure.
It's fiddley to do, but stick with it and another pairs of hands helps too.
