NYC here I come

Hey fellow G owners. I am making my yearly trek to NYC this year around Xmas time. I have been back/forth to NY many times and know my well around Manhattan pretty well. I normally drive up in the G, but last year got a rental b/c of a real good deal. My sister went to med school in NJ and lived about 15 min. from NYC and we would always find parking in the street. I myself was always able to find parking on the streets as well. But that was last year and I am worried that maybe I wont find spots in the street this time around. I hate to have to pay $50/night for parking however what do you guys think?/ I am debating on taking that Dragon coach bus $35 roundtrip from DC to NY. I know once I am in NY and can find parking I wont be moving it but have not decided how to get there and back.

Could take the G, pay $50/night to park $20 in tolls and prob. $60 in gas (round trip) or take the bus for $35 roundtirp and end up riding cabs/subway. However even if i bring the G i'll still end up taking cabs and stuff. what you guys think?? I am staying near rockerfeller center.

also where are some of this years hot spots for lounges?? any shisha/hooka spots?? a place for a couple, not for singles etc etc.

TIA

Parking near rock center during Christmas!!! ROFL!!! Good luck!

Take Amtrak dude! Right to Penn Station! More comfy than a bus although more costly. Still cheaper than bringing your car!

Take the bus. All the crazy stuff happening with people and parking and people rushing/driving...take the bus. Have a safe trip and X-mas whichever way you travel.

I'd avoid bringing the G at all costs...The only way i'd say bring it, is if your putting it in a lot...On the streets of NYC, especially during holiday season, it'll end up costing you more like repainting your bumpers, taking out dings, or worse. Call me paranoid man but I've seen some straight up grimey shiet happen to parked cars in the city. Good luck.

from my experiences , best way is to take the bus, don't take the G, $20+ parking, road sucks in the city. Japanese food is good over there at east village. 10th st and 2nd ave. . near St mark st.
