Should I mod my G?

Should I mod my G?
I am 18 year old in college and i have a part time job. I am fortunate enough that my parents bought me a 2nd hand 2004 G35 coupe (AT). I was wondering if i should start modding my car with the money I own. Modding as in rims and kits, no engine modding. I am thinking since I am 18 and am fortunate enough to own a G...soo...y not? and i know for sure i wont be modding my car when i m in my mid 40s and have a family of 4. So should i use my money to mod the car or save it up for marriage or RRSP?

you can spend 1500, and itll get you at most, 20 hp...
I say save your money, if your intentions are to make a car fast, the G is not the car without putting tons of money into it.
I owned a 03 cobra before, and those are much more mod friendly, you can get at least 90-100 hp with 1500...

hey its your money. do what you want with it. if your young and you have no responsibilities such as paying bills then go for it. if you didnt have that car what would u be spending your money on? crack cocaine of course. so yea your actually doing yourself a good thing by spending it on mods.

Yep you're lucky to own a G at your age! I'm 22 but I worked OTs just to save up for downpayment.
You're probably the same as I am. In my case, I don't want to mod the engine for reliability reasons and because it's still under warranty. Things I've done so far are Z-tube, K&N drop-in filter, front lip, clear corners, Stillen sway bars and Tein S-techs.
I'd suggest some side skirts...(I'd be getting some eventually) and change the rims if you like...just don't go overboard you know?!?

If you only have a part time job and possibly a college student, I say save your money and don't mod the car at all. Because first you plan on only rims and a body kit...then next thing u know...ur spending thousands on other mods and that money could be used elsewhere. Unless you have money to burn, don't start modding because the mods will never end. Trust me
