Man oh man... what a "tough" decision! I would definitly go with the Porsche Carrera 4S...think about how nice 315HP would be with ALL WHEEL DRIVE... Dude! Get the porsche!!! and please keep us posted on what you do decide...

Re: HELP!! I can't decide!!!

First off...going from a Ducati 768 to a Honda CBR6!?! I guess I just don't understand that...

I totally agree with you Sicshift. I've got a Zuk TLR and there is NO way that I'd ever give up my bike. I've got my order in for a '04 G, and next season I'm gonna pick up a new 'Busa (love that anniversary orange!) and drop the TLR. There is nothing in the world like riding a performance bike.

When it comes to insurance on a performance street bike...I don't see why it could be a factor in this guy's decision. I'm 26, and pay about $1000 for insurance on a 1000cc bike. I'm shopping for insurance for the G and getting quotes of $3000. I would think that insurance on a Porsche would be easily more than the two combined. Unless you're 16 and you own a Hayabusa, I don't see why your insurance should be that big of a deal.

Screw the 911 Turbo look a like C4s, get the 2004 Porsche GT3 (about $10 G's more), or the Maserati Spyder Cambiocorsa. That or get a G35 coupe and throw the rest of the money in serious mods and it'll out run both

Re: HELP!! I can't decide!!!

you guys are all whacked out. the carrera is the worst bang for the buck car on the market right now. you are going to pay 90000g's for a car that runs high thirteens. you must be crazy. you cant be a motorhead if you can even comprehend that. if you have that much money, save for a little while and get the new porsche turbo x50. runs 11 flat for 120000 grand. or you can get a z06 vette, and a bike. be smart, unless you are not looking for performance. or get the g, put a procharger on it, and run high twelves. the new e55 amg is 78000 and runs 12.1, and is automatic, and has four doors.

Re: HELP!! I can't decide!!!

I've got a total of 7 Points on my record...3 of which where in the last 18 months. The ducati 748 has been reclassified as a Superbike.. I was paying $1000 for liability and comprehensive alone last year...I'm 22years old. It's hard for me to even get a policy. Liability for me is approx $7k because of my record and where i live (los angeles).

Vgrani1g35, If i wanted bang for my bucks i'd probably get a corvette only i can't stand the way it looks. a C42 is not a drag car...it's design is mainly for autocross.

This is G35Hunter BTW, i'm using my bro's computer

Re: HELP!! I can't decide!!!

if you want to autocross, get a type r or nissan silvia or something you dont have to invest so much money in. during autocrossing, YOUR CAR GETS THE EVERLOVING CRAP KICKED OUT OF IT, AND WILL NOT BE WORTH 50000 AFTER SIX MONTHS. LOOK INTO THE SCCA AND THEN TELL ME ABOUT IT. YOU ARE GOING TO HAVE TO DUMP ABOUT 5OOO MORE INTO THE PORSHE TO MAKE IT PASS ALL THE SAFETY REGULATIONS. ANYWAY, JUST THOUGHT YOU SHOULD KNOW. A 2000 TYPE R PULLS 0.95 G'S ON THE SKIDPAD, WHILE AN S2000 PULLS 0.96, AND THEY OUTBRAKE THE CARRERA AS WELL. THE CARRERA ONLY PULLS 0.92. JUST FOOD FOR THOUGHT.
