Question Vibrating Clutch?

I just bought a 2004 G35 coupe with a manual tranny. This is kind of hard to explain but right after I shift into any gear and begin to accelerate my clutch vibrates a lot until I stop accelerating or until I let go of the clutch completely. It only vibrates with the clutch pressed in a little bit, for example when im accelerating and my foot is resting on the clutch. Does anybody else feel this vibration?

Yes. I have had many complaints about my clutch (06 Coupe) and so have a number of other folks. Bottomline is that the stock clutch is a piece of poo. Either rip it out and replace with decent aftermarket or just learn to live with these problems and wait until it burns out on it own, then replace with a decent aftermarket one.

Seriously, these clutches do vibrate, rattle and sometimes make noise. It is pretty common but if yours is severe, I suggest taking it in to be looked at.

Good luck.

I just hate the clutch chatter, makes the G sound like an old beater. I also hate how low it grabs, clutch has to be pressed in all the way to shift at high revs... oh well..

Why in the hell would you rest your foot on the clutch when you're accelerating?

Hey Trey, you're telling me that when you shift from 1st to 2nd you take your foot completely off so youre foot is not touching the clutch at all? Thats what i mean by "resting on the clutch", barely touching, you jack-***. Think before you speak!

Thanks Monkey and Banker. You two seem to have understood my question. Your answer puts my mind at ease, thanks.

No problems like that here.

I have the vibration to just like you describe. Been living with it for two years now. Only fix is a new clutch.

After the transmission is engaged in the next gear, my clutch is completely disengaged. So yes, when I am "accelerating" (as you stated in your original post), my foot is off the clutch. If on the other hand, you meant that while depressing the clutch during the act of changing gears, then yes, my foot is fully on the clutch. In that case, I also feel vibration.

As for the think before I speak comment... Writing owns you.
