Be glad you were able to walk away and you didn't hurt anyone.

Yea I just barely got these Mayas on earlier this year I think it was back in May or April

good thing you are okay. dibs on your wheels though
Yea, If this car is totaled...wheels will most likely up for sale.

That sucks. I saw you yesterday on the 5. I was in the silver 350z.
Ha!...I figured someone on these forums would see after seeing more than just a few Zs and Gs driving by...

Here is a pic back in the glory days:

I can't part my G
Insurance companies don't consider it a total loss just b/c both airbags went. Although airbags can cost anywhere from $800 - $2000/bag to replace. So if both airbags go, it generally means there was a lot of damage and on top of that the airbags add to the total damage which causes the total loss to be pushed high enough to total the car.

sorry to hear about your ride, i tend to doze off a lot too. I did the same thing to my Acura Integra GSR, but there was very little damage to the hood, so I got a carbon fiber hood. I rear ended a car because I dozed off too. To this day, I still fight off sleeping at the wheel when I driver home everyday. I wouldn't want to mess up my front end because my air horns (hornblasters) are in the front.........good to hear you're ok

damn, sorry to hear that as I have also been in accidents; however, none my fault. I think that it is a good thing to share about our accident stories on the site here, so maybe another one of us might not do the same thing, or think twice, pay more attention, etc. after reading about these stories. As much as I feel bad about your car, I am pretty upset that you didn't pull over somewhere if you knew that you were getting drowsy. I drive a motorcycle and have to watch out for all sorts of people on the road---but the most difficult is watching to get rear ended. If you would have rear ended a motorcyclist, you would have prob. killed him. Just another thing to think about, and hopefully have other members think about here too. I hope that the outcome comes out in your favor...just be more careful!
